AMERICA AND ITS FACTS
(1) Alaska is the state with the highest percentage
of people who walk to work.
(2) Even though the grizzly bear is California’s official state animal, none have been seen there since 1922.
(3) The man credited with designing the current 50 star American flag was Robert G. Heft. He was 17 years old at the time and created the flag design in 1958 as a high school class project while living with his grandparents in Ohio. He received a B− on the project.
(4) Statistically, the deadliest job in America is … president. Of the 44 men who’ve held the post, four have been assassinated in office— a rate of roughly 9 percent (or about one in ten) killed on the job.
(5) The only place in the United States where coffee is grown commercially is in Hawaii.
(6) Though most Americans speak English, we have no official national language.
(7) America is one of the only countries to display their flag almost everywhere.🇱🇷
